I had the wonderful opportunity, it was more like an honor, to be able to photograph this truly endearing Mother/Wife/Grandmother and her family. Mrs. G. was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2007 and has since gone under treatment. When I met Mrs. G., it felt like an instant connection after loosing my Father 3 short years ago to the disease as well. She was so kind and thankful and real and beautiful. She was worried about how she looked, but I thought she looked like a million bucks! We hugged each other and thanked each other for just being who we are. Mrs. G’s family is spread out all over the country but they were all in town to celebrate her 70th birthday, so I was fortunate to meet them and photograph them. Here is a picture of the whole family in Glenn Park, Williamsville, NY. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. G. and the whole family for this wonderful experience and for letting me provide you with this moment in time.

Ah, siblings, they are so much fun to photograph!  Mom really thought that her kiddos would give me a hard time with taking photographs of them, but much to her surprise, those kids of hers were happy to have spent the time with me :)  I had this idea brewing in my mind ever since my 5 year old “introduced” me to the Jackson Pollock way of art, soooo I got out about 4 different colors of paint and a brush and had some fun!  Take note of the wall behind them - it is “my little work of art” (well, my 3 year old helped too)!  You do know that  3 year old has the mind of an artist, don’t you?  Seriously, as Pablo Picaso said, every child is an artist, the hard part is to stay an artist as you grow older!  That is because our minds become so cluttered with “how it is supposed  to look like” instead of using our creative minds :)

And little sister….

I absolutely adore this one, it is so natural and grabs her cute little personality..

Mom - where are those kids that don’t like to have the photography taken?  I don’t see them  :)
